Bruggemuseum
The Historical Museums (Bruggemuseum) is the collective name for 12 historical top-sites, each one of them an impressive building with ditto collection. Since 2004 they are all being re-fitted and re-arranged so as to tell Bruges’ history from a different perspective and with a different theme. That way, Bruges Museum aims to become the city’s history museum par excellence.
The twelve sites are:

- Bruggemuseum- Brugse Vrije
- Bruggemuseum-Gentpoort
- Bruggemuseum-Gezelle
- Bruggemuseum-Gruuthuse
- Bruggemuseum-Koeleweimolen
- Bruggemuseum-Onthaalkerk O.L.V.
- Bruggemuseum-Sint-Janshuismolen
- Bruggemuseum-Stadhuis
- Bruggemuseum-Volkskunde
- Bruggemuseum-Lantaarntoren
