Bruggemuseum - Archaeology
What’s stewing in the cooking pots of a Merovingian mother? Does she store the leftovers in Tupperware? The Bruggemuseum – Archaeology brings prehistory, Roman times, the early, high and late Middle Ages and more modern times face to face with the present. Under the motto “Feel the past under your feet” you receive the unique opportunity, via the various “do” and “search” features, to discover all the elements of daily life in the city of Bruges. You’re invited to visit a mix of archaeological finds, replicas and reconstructions, all in an educational, but playful manner. An activity cell punctuates each time period. In these cells, you, yourself, search for answers to archaeological riddles. The children receive a list of questions and if they find enough answers, they earn the coveted diploma of an ‘archaeologist’ from the academy of ‘Pol de Mol’ (Paul the Mole).
