GROENINGEMUSEUM
> until 01.08.2010: Currently the exhibition ‘Van Eyck to Dürer’ is under construction. Therefore, temporarily only the rooms 1 to 4 (with the Flemish Primitives) are accessible. You will receive a reduction as well as a compensation ticket for the location of your choice of the Bruggemuseum (excl. Belfort).
> 02.08.2010 - 28.10.2010: closed for installation exhibition
> 29.10.2010 - 30.01.2011: exhibition ‘Van Eyck to Dürer’. The permanent collection is not on display in this period.
> 31.01.2011 - 30.04.2011 closed for re-installation of the museum
> from 01.05.2011 the permanent collection is accessible, which shows a rich and fascinating array of artworks from the southern Netherlands (Belgium) over a period of six centuries. Highlights include the world-famous collection of works by the Flemish Primitives, paintings by various Renaissance and Baroque masters, several interesting pieces from the Neo-classical and Realistic periods of the 18th and 19th centuries, milestones from the Symbolist and Modernist movements, masterpieces by the Flemish Expressionists and a varied selection of Post-1945 modern art.

BRUGGEMUSEUM-BELFRY:
> The carillon of the Belfry undergoes a complete renovation. Due to the works, the panoramic view is limited. The works will last until June 2010.

How to get there Top
Most of the Municipal Museums are located along the Dijver, near the Church of Our Lady. The rest are located in the district of St. Anne.
-> by car: E40 Brussels-Ostend or A17 Lille-Kortrijk-Bruges -> exit 8 towards Bruges.
Numerous (paying) parking spaces in the city centre.

Bruges station is just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre. A bus leaves for the centre every 10 minutes.

The station also has a taxi rank.
-> by coach: the special parking area for coaches (Katelijnebrug/Bargeplein) is 15 minutes’ walk from the centre. It has enough space for 120 buses and is on the edge of the city, 500 m from the station.
